Bishop Percival J. Fernandez was born on Dec. 20, 1935 in Mangalore and Dec. 21, 1960 he was ordained a priest of Bombay archdiocese.
On March 13, 2001 he was appointed Auxiliary bishop for Bombay archdiocese and titular bishop of Bulla and April 21, 2001 he was ordained as Auxiliary bishop for Bombay archdiocese.
He is one of the Vicar Generals with special charge of the Religious in the Bombay archdiocese. Bishop Fernandez is the chairperson of the Commission for Education and Culture in Western region Bishops' council.
