Dr Sr Anies Stephen (Batch ’93) received an award from the Karnataka State Health Minister on 1st December during the celebration of World AIDS day by KASAPS. It was given to her for conducting maximum number of HIV positive deliveries in her hospital this year 2009
After doing her rural bond for 3 years at a rural hospital near Belgaum, she completed her MRCOG from St Philomina’s Hospital Bangalore in 2007.
Since then she has been working at CG Hospital, which is close to Belgaum as a Gynecologist and Medical Officer
I had the privilege of meeting her at a HIV workshop held at St John’s between 9-11th December 2009.
She is such a simple and unassuming person .
